Dinner Conversation

K- 

Tonight's topic at dinner started with a mere comment that Dom made about a slice of ham Emily was putting on her plate.  Something to the effect of "Yes, I was alive earlier today, but then I got killed and made into sliced ham.  I'm really cut up about it." I groaned as I do at any pun good or otherwise, but Emily said "Ew, why do we have to eat animals anyway?  I think that's such a bad idea."  Well, Dom responded with, "Oh yeah?  Well, if you don't eat meat then you know what you'd have to eat, don't you?  V-E-G-E-T-A-B-L-E-S!!!!!"  Emily replied with her best EEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWW!  

I want this written down for the record in case she ever becomes a vegetarian :-) 

Golf at 10.30

So here I am on a Tuesday morning at 10.30am, playing golf in the back garden with Andrew. (I'm grooming him for the 2025 Ryder Cup). And I have this momentary moment of anxiety - why am I not in an office like a normal guy? What about our future? Shouldn't I be finding out the cost of apartments in Budapest or something? Then the wave of anxiety recedes as I get just pure pleasure from seeing the face of glee in Andrew as he whacks his ball with aplomb against a tree...
