A weblog for friends and family of Dominic, Kathryn, Emily and Andrew Christison, currently in Chesapeake, Virginia
January 26, 2008
What do we look like?
They say a picture can say a thousand words, and explain a lot of things! As we start 2008, this is a candid visual portrait of the Christison family.....
Kathryn is currently reading a biography of Jane Austen's life. Boy did she have a lot of relatives!
Dominic is reading "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" by Stieg Larsson, "The Inheritance" by David Sanger (current affairs - the fun things Obama has to face as the new President) and also reading "Three Cups of Tea" by Greg Mortensen.
Music on Dominic's MP3: My new Ipod Nano is my new red friend (I got the special edition red one). I'm listening to Coldplay's "X&Y", and also the audiobook of Neil Gaiman's briliant "Anansi Boys", with terrific narration by Lenny Henry. I'm also enjoying the incomprable John Cleese reading Lewis's "The Screwtape Letters".
Movies/TV:
TV: Well, our two reality favorites, "Survivor - Brazil" and "The Amazing Race" are in their latter stages. Coach in Survivor is one of the wackier Survivor villains of recent seasons! Emily is an avid fan as well - but not of Coach. Kat and I have also become belated avid fans of the sci-fi show "Heroes", and just saw the season finale last night.
Starting on "Primeval" season 3 soon! And also the first series of "The Ladies' No. 1 Detective Agency". It's difficult to believe that the lead actress is American and not Botswanan.
Movies: D just saw "State of Play" with Russell Crowe battling corporate corruption. Extremely bad hair for Russell, but good acting!
